What is a 2B finish in stainless steel?

2B: This is achieved by cold rolling, heat treating and pickling, along with the application of a light rolling at the end in order to achieve a smooth and reflective sheen. Considered the most widely used surface finish, 2B is the basis for most polished and brushed finishes.

What is the ASTM specification for 316L stainless steel?

Grade 316 stainless steel plate has a minimum tensile strength of 75 ksi and a yield strength at 0.2% of 30 ksi. 316 stainless steel plate has a 40% elongation. On the Brinell hardness scale 316 stainless steel plate has a hardness of 217 and a Rockwell B hardness of 95.
